The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has signed a residency exchange programme agreement with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) USA to train Residents from the Medical Center in the Hospital.
This partnership allows UPMC to send its internal medicine Residents in the global health track to KBTH. KBTH will offer the residents an experiential learning both in the inpatient and outpatient settings
Signing the agreement, CEO of Korle Bu, Dr. Gilbert Buckle called on all stakeholders to support the training. He promised Management of UPMC of sound, excellent and credible training.
In an interview, the Ag. Director of Medical Affairs, Dr. Roberta Lamptey, said the agreement will help build the image of the Hospital, adding that, it will open more doors for collaborations with other institutions.
The programme will start from January, 2017.
