Accident & Emergency Centre

The Accident and Emergency Centre (i.e., Emergency Department) of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital serves as the receiving point for all trauma, medical and surgical emergencies.

Department of Child Health

The Department was established in 1964 under the leadership of its first Head Dr. Susan De-Graft Johnson. It is a tertiary referral centre for children under 13 years with medical and surgical problems

Obstetrics & Gynaecology

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department provides 275 beds for Obstetrics and 97 beds for Gynaecology. The department is divided into five units. A senior consultant heads each unit with other consultants and doctors equally distributed among the units.
