Visiting a friend or relative in hospital makes such a difference to both patients and their loved ones. For patients, it boosts morale and aids recovery and for you as a visitor it provides reassurance about the care being provided and helps you to play a part in planning that care.
At Danbury Hospital, we are committed to providing a safe, quiet and healthy environment for our patients, their family and friends. We recognize the therapeutic benefit and reassurance visitors provide our patients.
We strive to ensure patients and visitors have a pleasant experience, in a quiet, safe and restful environment. Visitors who have symptoms of a cold or infectious disease or who have recently been exposed to a communicable disease are asked to postpone visiting until symptoms subside.
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult other than the patient. Children may not be left unattended.
When visiting a hospital employee, please see the information desk staff. The information desk will notify employees to meet any guests in the hospital lobby.
All visitors are asked to bring photo identification with them whenever visiting the hospital.
