The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital’s Eye Centre, with support from the Himalayan Cataract Project will, from Thursday, July 14th to Saturday, July 16th 2022, undertake free cataract screening and surgery for patients within rural Accra.
The Outreach, which is expected to attend to over 100 patients with cataracts, is part of efforts to make highly skilled critical care accessible to every Ghanaian.
It is also part of the Hospital’s corporate social responsibility drive.
Authorities of the Hospital are hopeful patients, especially those within Greater Accra Region, will take up this opportunity and have their sight restored.
