Mr. Frederick Odei Addo-Yobo is the new Director of General Services. His appointment started on 25th January 2019.
As the Director, He is responsible for providing direction, management and advice for the efficient management of facilities including equipment, infrastructure and utilities for patient care services.
Prior to this new appointment, he has been working as Head of the Civil Engineering Unit. He joined Ghana’s premier teaching hospital in 2011 after 7 years with the Architectural and Engineering Services Limited (AESL), Ghana,
Mr. Addo-Yobo’s academic and professional background encompass Architecture, Engineering and Management, Environmental Sustainability and Public-Private Infrastructure Partnership.
He is an ardent researcher in built environment and sustainability issues with publications in International Journals like Journal of Building Performance-Vol9, No 1 (2018): Articles: Strategies And challenges for energy efficient buildings in tropical developing countries, Moisture Storage In Timber Construction.
He holds an MSc in Engineering and Management from Conventry University, UK, besides a P.G. DIP. Architecture, as well as BSc Architecture from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
Mr. Addo-Yobo has also undertaken several certificate courses in Public Private Infrastructure Partnership at the University of Queensland, Australia, University of Pretoria, South Africa, and Environmental Sustainability with focus on Sustainable Cities, Copenhagen Denmark and Leadership Development for Organizational Transformations at GIMPA, Accra
