The Hospital’s Board Chairman, Dr. David Nkansa-Dwamena joined the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah, Directors, Deputy Directors, Heads of Units and some selected staff last Thursday during presentations by some directorates on their 2023 Programme of Work (POW) and Budget Estimates.
Dr. Nkansa-Dwamena in a short statement said he was happy to be present for the review.
He urged participants to work hard and play their part to ensure enhanced and efficient service delivery for our clients.
The POW and budget presentations, which started last week, is a maiden session for participants to discuss their respective 2022 budget performance in order to justify activities and budget for 2023, as per charts of accounts.
The program also offered opportunity for contributions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the Hospital.
The Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah in his remarks also urged participants to see the programme as a learning curve and fully participate.
He noted that having a realistic budget would guide respective directorates in prioritizing, focusing on the most urgent needs, based on available resources.
Dr. Ampomah encouraged younger members of staff to be present at such programmes, which helps to prepare them for future leadership roles.
The 2023 POW and Budget Estimate Review is being led by the Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME) and Budget Units.
