HEALTH MINISTER PAYS WORKING VISIT TO KORLE BU.

The Minister of Health, Honourable Kwaku Agyeman-Manu on tuesday paid a working visit to access some ongoing projects and operations in the hospital.

Before the tour, the Minister joined Management and staff for its 2022 Annual Performance Review session, which was ongoing at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Conference room.

At the session, Honourable Agyeman-Manu noted that the hospital is well resourced in skilled and experienced staff and he charged Management and staff to continue to lead in the delivery of efficient and quality patient care.

The Minister, together with the Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah; Director General if the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye and some other dignitaries from both agencies toured the 101-bed Urology and Nephrology Centre of Excellence, the reconstructed Infectious Disease Centre ( Fevers Unit) and the 13-storey Maternity Block.

In a media interaction after the tour, Hon. Agyeman-Manu expressed satisfaction about progress of work executed at the areas.

He announced that the Fevers Unit, which is currently managing some persons who were infected with the Lassa fever, was ready for use and would be formally commissioned soon.
